Junior Sailing

The Weatherby Lake Yacht Club offers beginning, intermediate and racing sailing instruction for Weatherby Lake children and grand-children ages six to eighteen.    Classes are open to all Weatherby Lake residents and their families.  Registration opens in May with classes starting in June and ending in July.

Registration for Junior Sailing classes opens Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at 8:00 AM.

Sailing Fun Camp

Introduction to sailing for ages 6-8.

2024 Sailing Fun Camp Session I Registration - 3 class sessions total, Fridays at 10 AM, June 14th, 21st, & 28th.

2024 Sailing Fun Camp Session II Registration - 3 class sessions total, Fridays at 10 AM, July 12th, 19th, & 26th.

Beginner Sailing

Sailing basics and daily on-water experiences for ages 9 and up.

2024 Beginner Sailing Session I Registration - 12 class sessions total, Monday/Wednesday at 10 AM beginning June 12th.

2024 Beginner Sailing Session II Registration - 12 class sessions total, Monday/Wednesday at 12 PM beginning June 12th.

Intermediate Sailing

Advanced sailing skills that build on beginner class concepts.

Prerequisite - Beginner Sailing

2024 Intermediate Sailing Session I Registration - 12 class sessions total, Tuesday/Thursday at 10 AM beginning June 11th.

2024 Intermediate Sailing Session II Registration - 12 class sessions total, Tuesday/Thursday at 12 PM beginning June 11th.

Racing

Beginning racing skills using the WLYC Opti and 420 boats.

Prerequisite - Intermediate Sailing and instructor invitation.

2024 Racing Registration - 12 class sessions total, Monday at 2 PM and Friday at 12 PM beginning June 14th.

Advanced Racing

Advance racing skills using the WLYC 420 boats or bring your own boat.

Prerequisite - Racing class and instructor invitation.

2024 Advanced Racing Registration - 12 class sessions total, Tuesday/Friday at 2 PM beginning June 11th.
